The Sinister Stylings of the Dust Bowl Faeries

Dust Bow Faeries Duet at #evilexpo

“Carnival, circus, cabaret, silent-movie-era, fin de siecle, Lynchian, full on baroque with a touch of Jethro Tull.”  Dust Bowl Faeries is a dark cabaret band from the New York Hudson Valley. Their eclectic repertoire of songs draw inspiration from circus, post-punk and Eastern European music. Accordion, singing saw, guitars and percussion combine to create the Dust Bowl Faeries otherworldly sound.

What we bring

Join the Dust Bowl Faeries pandemic duet for a dark cabaret of tragic tales and sinister serenades, featuring Ryder Cooley on accordion/singing saw and Jon B. Woodin on guitar.  As always, the band will be accompanied by Hazel, a taxidermy ram who performs as the faerie mascot spirit animal.

Who we are

Dust Bowl Faeries is a dark-carnival band from the New York Hudson Valley. Their eclectic repertoire of songs draw inspiration from circus, post-punk and Eastern European music. Accordion, singing saw, ukulele, guitars and percussion combine to create the Dust Bowl Faeries otherworldly sound. The band was founded by inter-disciplinary artist Ryder Cooley and Hazel, a disembodied taxidermy ram who is symbolically resurrected through music and performance. The Dust Bowl Faeries debut album features Tommy Stinson (Replacements) & Melora Creager (Rasputina).
