What I am all about

Lauren Curtis, a freelance illustrator and fine artist, has been involved in the Wiccan/Pagan, Steampunk and Gothic  communities for many years.  She obtained a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University (1988), and her work reflects her interest  in mythology, (especially Egyptian, Celtic, and Greco-Roman), spirituality, the Occult, and dark fantasy.  Lauren works  in many mediums, such as pen & ink, oils, watercolors, digital art and photography.  She  exhibits her work  regularly  and has sold pieces across the US and abroad.   Children of the Forest  & Spirit~Art  are the artist’s own line of Wiccan greeting cards, &  Lauren , along with two long-time friends, started a  line  of hand-made,  unique  crafts, T-shirts, art & more called

Talon  after Lauren’s 20+ inch fingernails!  Many pieces of her artwork have been featured in various Gothic, Pagan and alternative publications, as well as  on-line zines & blogs, and a variety of her work can be viewed on http://laurencurtisart.weebly.com .  She has been featured on several radio & TV shows including the Science Channel’s Oddities, and German TV show TAFF  TV, & has been in Ripley’s Believe It or Not for her record-breaking fingernails.  Through  all  of her creations, Lauren wishes to promote the appreciation and understanding of an “alternative” mind-set and spiritual beliefs.
